  • Build-up in canister of allergens,mold, bacteria, dust mites, fungi and other harmful pollutants, and foul odors
  • Not very hygienic, very messy and dirty to clean
  • Permanent filter - costly to replace
  • "Self-cleaning" feature is not effective; this could be misleading
  • Clogs easier - can loose up to 60% suction over time
  • Motor works harder over time causing higher electricity cost
  • Must be vented outside

  • Wash permanent filter once a year
  • Replace disposable filter every six months
Recommendations:
This type of design should be incorporated with a disposable 2-ply paper bag, it's more hygienic and prevents mold, mildew & odors.
